The Chateau de Chantilly belonged to Henri d’Orléans, Duke of Aumale, the son of the last king of France. It is one of the largest art museums in France, with its Delacroix’, Boticelli’s pieces of art.
Furthermore, it is separated in two parts: the apartments and the Musée Condé. The Condé Museum is the second biggest museum just behind the Louvre Museum, thanks to its wonderful 800 pieces of art.
You will discover the amazing Cabinet des Livres and the gorgeous Galerie des Cerfs.
Then, you will go to the magnificent town of Senlis.
A BIT OF HISTORY : Did you know that the Musée Condé, is the second largest Art collection in France? Right after the Musée du Louvre! Chantilly is not only a stunning Renaissance castle in the north of Paris, but also an amazing museum for Art aficionados. Pieces of Art made by Raphael, Rubens, or Poussin are waiting for your visit. Senlis is a splendid town a few kilometers from Chantilly. Nowadays, it’s the city welcoming the most film shooting in France. And back in the Middle Ages, it used to be the craddle of the Capetian Kings. Hugh Capet was elected king of France in Senlis in 987.
